Thesis Theme 2.0 for WordPress Is Almost Here

by Bradley on September 1, 2009

I got wind today from a source inside DIYThemes (sounds so cloaks and daggers, huh?!?) that Thesis Theme 2.0 will soon be making it’s way onto the scene.

Some new premium WordPress themes have entered the market and given Thesis some competition.  Namely Headway Theme (get your Headway discount here, btw).  So Thesis decided to fight back and come out with Thesis Theme 2.0.  The developers are claiming that this update is going to send all the competitors back to the drawing board.

As readers here, I think you deserve to know the second Thesis 2.0 comes out.  And there are two ways to get notified ASAP.

  1. Buy Thesis 1.5.2:  You can buy Thesis using this discount here and get a free upgrade to 2.0 immediately when it comes out.  This is a no-brainer if you don’t have Thesis.
  2. Or if you want to wait and see what Thesis 2.0 is all about, just fill out the form below and I’ll let you know when 2.0 comes out so you can decide if you want to give her a spin.

So fill this out to get notified about Thesis Theme 2.0 Launch and News:

With Headway 1.5 due to launch very soon with a very nice surprise alongside it, should make September an interesting month indeed… :)

        Hi Brad,

Any new word on hesis 2.0? I see Chris mentioning 1.7, but nothing really re. 2.0?

        Cheers,

        Danny.

          Danny,

Well there was a lot of talk about
Thesis 2.0 a while back, but since
then 1.6 came out and now it looks
like 1.7 is on the way.

          I don't have a clue when 2.0 is
coming out now. But I'm still
          very, very excited.

          Best,
          b

I feel like the annoying kid in the back of the car. “Are we there yet. Are we there yet…”

I am wondering what they are doing for holding off so long?

What happened to Thesis 2.0? Close to three years! I am starting to think I should have gone with one of the competitors, which provides/maintains current updates! I hope that you got a good commission on my purchase.

      AJ-

Yeah, I’m excited for Thesis to upgrade too. What problems are you having with Thesis that you’d like to see improved?

      Best, Brad

I am not having any issues, per say, I would just like more functionality to the application, like ease of use. If you have not noticed, most, if not all, of the competitors now have drag and drop (AJAX) features in theirs to rearrange “hooks”. Don’t get me wrong, once I got use to using Thesis and learned how it worked, usage is simple. BUT as a programmer I am lazy (DRY), If there is a simpler way of doing things (KISS), I would do them! All the competitors are passing up Thesis in this aspect!

Chris Pearson if you’re out there, I hope that you are still competing! One of the reasons I purchased this theme rather than from the competitors, was I believed that you programmed better. I would hate to have bought a product at its EOL (end of life) stage.
